Hello I'm new here so please don't get mad if I posted in the wrong section.

Anyways, for a few years now something weird has been happening to me. Whenever, I sit at my computer desk (not just going on pc but homework too) I have to be occupied with something else than my primary task. Usually it's drinking or eating something, but sometimes it's nail biting, pen/pencil chewing, or rarely (this caused a lot of awkwardness because people would ask about holes) biting the collar of my shirt. For a while I just ignored it, but now it's really getting out of hand. I can't stop doing those things. Like if there's no cup there, I'll find myself reaching for it anyways, only to find nothing (this is when I'd have to go grab a drink). I also end up drinking at least a gallon a day, which would be fine if I was in the desert or something, not in a house.

Anyone have ideas to how I could stop? I tried to not drink anything a few times, but then I ended up biting my shirt a lot and couldn't stop, even when I wanted to.
Thanks for this!

Do you see a T. This sure sounds like moderate OCD. I would suggest seeing a behavioral therapist. They should be able to help you reduce if not illiminate these behaviors.

Wishing you luck

A T is a therapist right?

I have never seen one, but I probably should, because I have a handful of other problems too. Thanks for replying.
