I am obsessive in thought sometimes, but I have no compulsions. Is that enough for an OCD dx? I'm confused.

You can have OCD without compulsions - but if you're confused about your dx, make sure you ask your pdoc more questions about why she dxed you as she did, okay?

To elaborate more, the more I read about OCD, the less I think I have it. I don't have uncontrollable "bad" thoughts... I have almost uncontrollable desired to do/like eccentric things, like my Sonic obsession and my bird obsession, etc... they don't normally distress me, but I do get this pattern sometimes of thinking about things that worry me.

This came up cause I brought up possible symptoms of an autism spectrum disorder. the pdoc disagreed with me, cause I am too "warm" in personality and have good conversation skills, but instead decided I was OCD.

It's either/or, not both:

Looking over the criteria...

Obsessions:

1. doesn't quite fit... I don't get anxiety over my obsessive thoughts
2. Maybe
3. No
4. Yes

Compulsions:

1. No
2. No

Other points:

I think they are unreasonable a bit

They don't interfere with my functioning

Yes, last one applies.
