I think I have OCD because I never can stop working once I start. Like when I'm outside doing lawn work, if I see another patch of weeds, I MUST get rid of them. Even if my head is throbbing and im dehydrated, I have to keep working. It takes alot for me to stop working. I think it's probably bad for me. I get these thoughts that pull me into doing more work. It's so odd.

That sounds uncomfortable. Have you been to your doctor to make sure you don't have a physical problem and/or to talk with him about your concerns? I just had yard work done; my yard was a mess and now it's all neat and just needs watering. I'm having trouble going back to doing other things besides worrying about my yard. Maybe there's something you're trying to avoid by staying with whatever you're doing?

Hi EyesofSadness,
I have OCD and I have the "house version" of what you are describing...I start cleaning, and I can't stop. I have stayed up all night sometimes working on my lists of stuff to do on the weekends. And like you, I will be really worn out, and sometimes hungry, but I hate to stop and just want to keep working on through it. If you are able to speak to a dr. about what is happening, they can help to diagnosis you, I am sure. Good luck to you and I wish you the best. ![]() |

i don't really have a doc to talk to. I just keep obsessing about making everything look pretty. I never can stop thinking about it. I really don't know why. Maybe it's not a problem. Maybe I just really like gardening. I don't know.
