I think I'm a hypochondriac as I keep obsessing that I have all kinds of health problems. I know this is my OCD but it keeps freaking me out and my doctors must think I'm nuts asking for all kinds of blood tests and exams.

I do the same thing. If something is not "perfect" in my body at the moment, I think I have something. I bother my mom first with most of it, and she sometimes can put me at ease, but most of the time i'm too embarrassed to ask my doctor about things that are so obscure or rare and I think he'll think i'm nuts.

One time I went crazy because my ob/gyn called me at 5 o'clock on the dot with results of some tests, i didn't get the call but got the voice message and to me (and my OCD), it sounded urgent. I call back just to find out that they CLOSED right after they called me. Well, I freaked out and called the emergency line and the head dr of the practice called me back right away to assure me all my tests were fine.

Roses I also ask my mom all the time. It's reassurance and eases the anxiety temporarily but ultimately keeps OCD strong since it gives validity to its
Nonsense.

I do that too. even when logically I know I'm ok, emotionally I'm miserable.

Would positive affirmations help you...such as "I have a healthy body"
or" I am strong" or
" My body fights all diseases"
or "I have a strong immune system"...etc
