Its been changing, and the most recent one was the worst one, well i dont like the feeling of it, http://forums.psychcentral.com/showthread.php?t=239625. Im so scared I might need to go to mental hospitals, where there are crazy people there, I'm afraid my family members would know me as the "kid who went to a mental hospital" as my members will think I'm crazy, and not normal at all, I'm scared that this will consistently come.I dont know what to do, I'm scared I might freak out with the therapist and she might think Im crazy and I have to live my whole life in a mental asylum.

((((Dude)))) It is important that you get the proper support that you need. First, you should speak with your T or doctor and let him/her know how you are feeling.
Anyone that labels you as "crazy" is very misinformed and try not to worry about them. It doesn't matter what they think. It only matters what you think ... and how you are feeling. If you freak out with a T...that is fine. They are trained to manage "freak outs". Seriously, when I was speaking with my T about the POSSIBILITY of even slightly discussing some major trauma in my life, I asked her if we could call the paramedic just in case I fainted or cracked or lost it...she promised me that I was safe and we would go slow and she had my back. We established a lot of trust before I was able to speak about certain things. You are going to be ok....you just need to take that first step and reach out & ask for help. There is NOTHING wrong with that. We are human and humans are designed to rely on each other (especially when the chips are down). Let us kow how you are doing ((((Dude)))) |

I absolutely agree with you Rose ![]() I guess you always have to remember that this excessive worry is part of your abnormal OCD & that you have to try & calm yourself & make your brain void of any thinking or worrying for at least a few minutes each time you feel the burst of worries coming... I do that often-times these days, & many times it actually works ![]() & remember, even if people, your parents, or your siblings think of you as the abnormal "one" suffering from mental illness (I'm labeled as such in my family too), you can make yourself also, along with your mental illness, unique in many other sides, like if you excel in your studies, or in a certain hobby or activity, that would make you be labeled with something else too that is positive, & might even one day outweigh thinking of you as the abnormal "one" ![]() |
