I'm new to this particular part of this forum. I've always had general anxiety and I've always thought compulsive thoughts were because I have anxiety, but now i'm not sure. It's like they cause each other, and try to outdo each other, if that makes sense. Once in a while I'll get panic attacks because I have like an episode where everything needs to be perfect, and i'll have obsessive thoughts about certain things. It's usually always the same things.Nothing terribly bad. Some are even silly, but they are so intense I can't sleep.Sometimes I'll have to stay up all night because of it, and i'll get panic attacks because of it. I try meditation but when i'm in these attacks, it makes it a bit worse.

Any ideas of what I can do to calm myself down?
