My situation:
I keep seeing lines in everything I imagine. Like if I am trying to picture an object, there is always a line on the object. This is really annoying and this causes me to fear that I am going to create false memories. For example, memories that are not consistent with reality. Does anyone else have this? What coping mechanisms did you use to deal with it? Are you still suffering? How long will this usually last?

A little history of myself:

I suffered from Anxiety/OCD/Whatever you wanna call it 2 years ago. It was really bad and it lasted for 6 months. It was basically constant questioning of everything. Eventually, it went away and I made a full recovery for over a year.

hi

I honestly dont think that OCD can just "go away". you can learn to cope, but i dont think it ever can just go away. What you are saying doesn't really sound like OCD to me... is the obsession that everything has to be imagined with a line through it? or does everything just happen to have a line through it? Because thats different. I mean... that almost sounds like your brain isn't transmitting images properly. It doesn't sound like OCD. Maybe if you elabortated a bit more?

How did you get over the OCD last time? Usually the best appraoch is exposure therapy. If you had a t, maybe you could call em up and ask em for advice?

The obsession is everything has to be imagined with a line through it. My vision is fine.

My last ocd was that I kept questioning whether things were true or not. That eventually passed just with time and I never thought of it again.

Ask yourself:
- what is OCD telling me?
- what is going to happen if I don't listen to what OCD is telling me?
- what is the likelihood that whatever OCD is telling me is true?

Ask and ask. Cut it down to size.

What do you mean lines? Like a physical line, like someone drew a line on something?
