Hi guys. I know you're sad that you don't have a lot of action on this forum, so I thought I'd announce that I'm new here and plan on livening things up a notch. I am an active poster and promise to pay heed to your posts. At first I was posting in the new members forum; then I was posting in the bipolar forum because one doctor suggested my OCD could be an indicator of 'soft' bipolar. However, as I posted there, I didn't feel all that 'at home' because regardless of whether I have unipolar or bipolar depression, my main issues are OCD and anxiety. Any mood issues I've had have been to do with depression.
I'm not going to ramble on ad nauseum in my first post here. I just wanted to introduce myself. I am a great listener and support person, and I truly empathize with the daily battle of OCD, so if you ever want to vent, chat, lean on someone, be heard, get feedback, or whatever, by all means post or message me. I will check in as much as I can. I know you don't know me from Adam and Eve, but I hope over the next while we can change that, and I can get to know you also. I am looking forward to it very much!!! Wishing you all the best on our journey and anxious to meet each and every one of you on our road out of hell.

it can be a long and rocky road to "recovery" from OCD's... i have only traces left of mine, which included trichotillomania. i could not tolerate psych meds, so i suffered without relief for 15 yrs, until i found an acupuncturist who helped me.

i went in to stop smoking, and when he gave the treatment, it affected my OCDs. many of my phobias were lifted almost immediately, and the OCD's were better after many treatments. but, many times one must keep up treatments for continued success and this can be expensive.

he referred me to a brain repair program called Holosync, sold by CenterPointe.com. it is an auditory (sound) program that uses CD's and stereo earphones to feed different beats into each ear. i know it sounds odd, but i used it faithfully and am permanently cured, not only of my OCD's and most of my Phobias and Anxiety, but of BiPolar too~!

it is not cheap, and no insurance i know of covers it, but to me a cure is certainly better than a treatment~! i hope people will check this out,, i have known people in PC who use it, and have talked with other users online, and all agree, it's real~
best wishes
Gus
