I'm 16 years old. My entire life I have had intense obsessions. I get fixed on a particular topic or worry or just anything, and I simply cannot get my mind off of it, no matter what I do. However, I don't have problems like checking over and over to see if the door is locked or washing my hands. All of my obsessions are inside my head, but they way that I go about releasing them vary. For example, when I was 11, I had an obsession with hamsters. I literally wrote a 100 pg. book on hamsters and created an exercise chart for my hamster. Then I had an obsession about Greenland. I made countless maps of Greenland and even went as far as making a pretend account online pretending that I was a native Inuit, just so that I could answer questions about Greenland.

Is this OCD or anything diagnosable?! Please please, I am so concerned.

Thanks!!!

I think that it would be called pure O OCD. If its affecting your life, you should talk to someone about it and try and see a therapist.
