My OCD is worsening. Now, if a member of my family burps or sneezes, I will hold my breath. I used to be quite okay with it. And now I can't sit or put anything on 2 chairs on my dining table cause it's 'dirty'. And if I'm touched by someone on my arm, I will keep wiping that part of my arm on my clothes. And I use my hand sanitizer way more often. Any advice?

it's because you're stressing. Try relaxing and letting go techniques. Come to terms with you're issues and do you're best not to focus on them. over time it will ease up again. the more you stress or the more stress in you're life, the worse you're ocd will be. When i'm really bad, I make sure I am getting enough relaxed sleep and I will sometimes take some time to pamper myself. Things like a bubble bath and a good book, or a movie I can just shut my brain off too for a couple hours... when it comes to compulsions that are embarrassing for public I just force myself to either do it discreetly or less and deal with the fact that it's still bothering me later when i'm not in company. There are ways to do your compulsions without bringing a lot of attention on yourself, which I believe also reduces stress and makes it less necessary.

It's hard not to focus on them cause they're always there in some corner of my mind. And I have trouble sleeping cause my OCD gets the worst at night.. I'll try to think of ways.. Thanks for replying
