hey i've noticed that we have quite a few people asking about trichotillomania lately. i just stumbled across a site that describes one girl's experience with it. at the bottom of the page, she lists some resources. so for those of you who've had questions, i thought i'd post and let you know about this site i found:

http://www.geocities.com/self_harm/basics/trich.html

Thanks Sweet Crusader. I too have noticed there have been a lot of people asking about it as of late. I had always believed I was an outcast with this...it is comforting to find others to talk to about this.

yeah i can see where you're coming from there. i don't pull my hair out, but it was interesting to me to hear about other people picking at their scalps, which maybe is similar in ways. and the si forum in general, of course. this is the only place i've felt completely comfortable and safe in talking about my problem with cutting when i need to talk.

anyway, i hope you find the sites this girl has listed helpful, too!

best wishes,
Angela
