When practical, Neosporin under a Band-Aid over night. It works awesome! and on the face it's great for discontinuing picking that spot. Plus Neosporin reduces scars and if you have existing ones, bio-oil is the best. I know it's oil, but it's gentle enough to use on your face. takes three months to work on existing scars and stretch marks...according to the bottle. But I have no stretch marks from my two kids because I used it.

Yeah Neosporin is great. I use it for cuts and scrapes. Good stuff.

Neosporin is wonderful, and makes the healing process go a lot faster.

I've also used bio-oil. It's worked, but it doesn't erase scars (at least on my skin) just makes them a whole lot lighter so they blend in with my skin a lot more.

How long did you use the bio-oil for? And how much water do you drink? I want to know for my own outcome possibilities. I haven't worked on existing scars yet, just anti-baby stretch marks, which were completely prevented.

I have about 4 large bottles of water a day. One of those re-usable ones (I got mine at Target for $2). I used the bio-oil for a few months, I honestly don't remember the complete length. They say four weeks, twice daily. The water helped loads, I think.

Strange...mine says "apply twice daily for a minimum of 3 months."

I just did some googling and I am getting mixed results from every where for length of usage. Then again, one said it depends on your bodies health and the scars themselves.

haha I suppose it is. I do think it depends on the type of scarring, your skin type, etc. I am really fair and I scar from a simple paper cut. They turn this dark purple very fast, so for me it may take more time.
