what are common traits of people with OCD, not OCPD? And what other mental disorders might be linked...like Autism??
Thanks for this!

Depression and anxiety issues are usually always linked, in my experience, and based on the many people with whom I have spoke about OCD. I'm not sure about other things, though. Oh, I suppose sleep issues could be attributed to OCD, since depression could allow you to succumb to the OCD, which then raises anxiety, and that then prevents proper sleep.

I know that most people with OCD also suffer from depression, anxiety, and also eating disorders. It is very common for autistic people to have OCD that stems from their autism.

I've never thought about OCD and personality traits thereof, but I'll just list some of mine, of which I think may relate to my OCD:
  • Difficulty in accept sufficiency.
  • Prone to feeling guilty.
  • Heightened sense of responsibility.
  • Moralistic. Firm unwavering beliefs.
  • Creative - I've read that OCD and creativity pair very well together.
  • Stubbornness.
S'pose that'll do. Dunno if that'll help at all, but thought I'd give it a shot.
