I cannot begin to explain where ocd has taken me through the years. I have brought it up in therapy. I never seem to get to address it during the 10 minute dr. questionnaire visits.

I have had success shifting my attention to other areas like breathing and counting. Breathe naturally, when you are ready, silently count 1 on the inhale, 2 on the exhale, 3 on the inhale, continuing up to 10. Then begin at 1 again. It is not possible to focus on breath and counting and still worry about things fully.

OCD. Ugh. I've been plagued by this too. 10 minutes is not enough to help........

CANDC shared some invaluable advice.

The doctors don't think that I have OCD even though I was previously diagnosed with this disorder.
