What have you done to deal with intrusive thoughts effectively? I have dealt with OCD my whole life it seems like. It comes & goes, but when it does creep up it feels worse than before. Any tips?

Unfortunately, I don't have any successful firsthand techniques that I can impart to you. But I can empathize with intrusive thoughts - especially if they're obsessive (rumination).
Are your intrusive thoughts irrational? If so, have you tried counter-arguing them? Have you tried distracting yourself with something important or any relaxation techniques? Are you in therapy? |

Thanks for the response! They are irrational and are more fears than anything else. I am not currently in therapy but am looking into OCD support groups. I'm glad someone can relate to me though!
