What have you done to deal with intrusive thoughts effectively? I have dealt with OCD my whole life it seems like. It comes & goes, but when it does creep up it feels worse than before. Any tips?

Unfortunately, I don't have any successful firsthand techniques that I can impart to you. But I can empathize with intrusive thoughts - especially if they're obsessive (rumination).

Are your intrusive thoughts irrational? If so, have you tried counter-arguing them? Have you tried distracting yourself with something important or any relaxation techniques? Are you in therapy?

Thanks for the response! They are irrational and are more fears than anything else. I am not currently in therapy but am looking into OCD support groups. I'm glad someone can relate to me though!
