I'm so sorry you feel broken. I am encouraged that you used the word "feel" and not "am"

You must know that you are not your disease. There is always hope that our feelings can change.

You show courage by speaking out. I hope you find that the resources and friends here are helpful to you, as they are for me.

Welcome,
KarenSue
Thanks for this!

OCD meds make me manic. CBT has helped tremendously. It's better than it use to be is all I can say, the OCD isn't a 24/7 thing anymore.

I taken Fluoxetine for OCD. It helps, but does not fix me. It gives me the ability to practice mindfulness which helps me deal better.
But BP are not some of the letters after my name. Mine are OCD MDD GAD BSC that kind of stuff any time now

I take fluoxetine also, anafrinil was designed just for ocd, I take that also with zyprexa and it seems to help, don't think I'll ever be totally rid of it though

I do not think I will ever be over it completely either.
but the medication helps it be less bothersome.
almost easier to deal with.
I wish I was better able to describe this

I totally understand, I have a hard time describing mine also, I lived with it for about 25 years with no help and no-one knowing about it.
I always thought there was no help for me, I was the only one who thought this way. I have been getting good help in the last 8 months and I am making progress. Hang in there
