Hello. So I tend to pick my scalp a lot. I will stand in front of a mirror to pick at my scalp because it feels so itchy and I don't like the white flakes on me or my hair because I feel people will judge me for the white flakes.
Anyways, so a few days ago, when I was at work, I felt a big clog of flakes or a previous scab on my head, so I went to the mirror to pick at it. Then I saw some other dry skin so I picked at it and there was a "U" shaped mark that was bleeding for a good 15 mins. I had to put a paper towel on my head to help stop the bleeding. And this was at work. It was a good thing I was working with someone with mental illness and has an impulse disorder (as in nail biting). Anyways, it was that moment that I think I should bring it up to my pdoc. I have done this for too long, and my head is covered in scabs and it bleeds and it takes up so much time and I am super annoyed by it. I can't stand it it seems. I just pick and pick and pick. Gah! Social anxiety disorder, GAD, OCD, and panic attacks Lexapro, 10 mg

Nike, there is special shampoos to aleviate itching. Then i would wear a hat to work, a knit cap on the head. Totally acceptable cause it is winter and it also is very stylish to do so. It is the in thing. And talk to your doctor. This can be over come my friend. hugs and tc
