This video could be triggering if you have an issue with light switches, checking doors, ... repeatedly doing something, physically. It's an interview with a 17 year old guy with OCD.

I'm so glad to see this. I really feel for that young guy. Almost wish I could talk to him. I've had OCD all my life. I admit, when I first saw that video, I was expecting it to be just another washing hands thing, but nope, there was actually mention of intrusive thoughts and behaviors. Finally, OCD is becoming more recognised as more than just washing hands and lockings doors!

Unfortunately, stuff like that is fairly few and far between. Most people I've spoken to who don't know a lot about OCD still stereotype it as cleanliness and don't take me seriously because my room isn't clean. Even people who don't have it but are still familiar with it seem to use the stereotypes. For example, I have a friend whose character has OCD when they do not and he's very much the stereotypical neatfreak, though the friend does actually pay mind to the intrusive thoughts and such so that's nice.
