help does anyone have vivid mental images of doing harm to others

Well... I don't know about vivid mental images. But there's a list of people I've imagined messing up over the years. I think we all have these sorts of thoughts... perhaps some more intensely than others. It's just a part of being human. Personally, when these sorts of thoughts come to mind, I simply breathe into them & smile to them... with compassion, & allow them to fade at their own pace... no big deal...

I have known a number of people who would never hurt anyone, but have OCD (intrusive thoughts) of hurting loved ones. Sadly, it is a fairly common form of OCD. Have you spoken with a medical professional?
