So, I honesty never thought of this as being something until I saw it in the forums here. I have been skin picking since I was 5 years old. (22 as of June 23)
I remember just staring at a cut on my finger and out of impulse, pulled at the loose skin. I haven't stopped since then. I remember seeing it as an imperfection on my skin and wanted to make it look okay.
I can never make it look okay no matter how many times I pick my skin off. I have been able to stop a few times, but keep picking again after a few weeks.
Does anyone know how I can stop?

My son skin picks we're trying welbutren to stop the urge. I don't know how well it's working as he's not taken it on a regular basis.

Anxiety meds and fidget toys are the only viable options I know of.
