Apparently OCD symptoms can be reduced drastically after receiving certain treatment, especially ERP. But also some people still get fare ups during times of stress even after receiving successful treatment. But wouldn't something like ERP help you get rid of your fears?

I have been through treatment and it no longer causes stress in my life. On the rare occasion I am feeling off, sometimes a thought will occur that I have an immediate, automatic reaction to. Then when my rational side kicks in, I dismiss it and use the skills I learned, reminding myself that it is just a thought and not reality.

I've been treated for OCD and still get flare-ups. The good news is they are not too often and skills learned in therapy along with PRNs help me manage them.
