Whenever I have small scaps I can't seem to stop picking them, this leads to many wound scarring on my body in any place (which doesn't look too bad kinda like a birthmark).

My worst pick is in my scalp, I realized whenever I'm stressed I start to pick my scalp a lot more. When I was on a very stressful placement, I used to pick this wound on my head every day, just waiting for the blood/fluid to clot then i would do it again. EVen if it was verypainful id still try to do it. thank god I managed to do it in somewhere that's not obvious. but there are times it looks very red and blood oozing out also.

Anyone ever felt that way? it feels so satisfying when after I pick it somehow

I can definitely identify with you but in my case, the situation is too difficult to talk about. I hope you I will be able to talk about it some day. My heart goes out to you!

I pick my hangnails on my thumbs. My poor thumbs are deformed. I also pick the scab in my left ear. It just keeps scabbing, and the wax is driving me nuts.

I can relate to also picking scabs on my scalp - to the point of it sometimes bleeding. Sorry for the graphic. I try not to, but sometimes I can't stand it.

I grew up with acne at a very young age, and all the stigma and name-calling made me want to scrub. The worst thing ever invented was that buff puff that my parents got me to use with Neutrogena bars. I loved Neutrogena bars (they had such a pretty perfumed scent back then - today, not so much), but the buff puff that scraped my acne on my face caused permanent scarring.

I pick when I'm nervous or just uptight or just out of habit.

I don't do it all the time, but sometimes I do it without knowing.
