This is an interesting article. I had a very brief read of it, and can confirm in my personal experience, that guilt is a big part of my OCD. I type of OCD I have is Harm OCD, meaning I get intrusive thoughts and imagery of harming others. One of my previous compulsions was to punish myself for the thoughts, as well as confess out of "guilt" that I had these horrific thoughts. At the time, I did not know it was OCD.

I, too, have experienced harm as well as sexual OCD intrusive thoughts.. It's scared me in the past, especially when I didn't know that it was OCD.
