My boss at work called me out in supervision bc I nod my head. My pdoc says it’s ocd related. She asked me if I have a tic. I tried explaining it’s almost like when you need to pop your knuckles. I feel physical discomfort when I need to do it but don’t. Idk how else to describe it. I also obsessively count things everyday. And I twirl my hair all day.
I feel sooo embarrassed bc she said it was more prominent today that she’s noticed. Did I mention she’s a psychologist so she notices stuff? I hate this. I wish I could stop but sometimes I don’t realize I’m doing it. __________________ Dx:Bipolar 1 Panic disorder PTSD Ocd Lamictal, celexa, prazosin, Lybalvi |

I'm sorry that happened to you. Many mental health medications can cause tardive dyskinesia which might be what is behind your head nodding. I have seen commercials on television about medications for this. Maybe your pdoc would be able to advise you. Wish I knew what to say to help.
