Sorry you are suffering. Do you have OCD or trichotillomania ?

What meds are you taking or have tried?

I heard of clomipramine, an tricyclic antidepressant, but haven't tried it myself. I take 3 antidepressants, including Prozac and I find when my anxiety is high, by OCD is activated all the same.

I also heard of off-label gabapentin for anxiety, but I cannot take it due to heart meds I take.

Ask your doc about gabapentin, perhaps?

Also, maybe consider checking out Claire Weekes' "Hope & Help for Your Nerves", as she talks about obsessive thinking as a part of it. I took the library audiobook out and wished I'd discovered her work years ago.

I'm on gabapentin. It doesn't help as much as klonopin. And my doctor lowered my klonopin. Now I'm worse!!

Things most certainly can get better
What meds are you currently taking? Some can make anxiety disorders worse. And a decrease in Klonopin will definitely do that too.

Abilify and Wellbutrin can have an "excitemtn" quality to them that might make anxiety worse from my experience. Klonopin for me helps for a few hours then makes anxiety worse.

Effexor has been helping my anxiety immensely if yyou haven't tried that one yet.
