You might find it interesting to know that some experts feel that OCD may not fully belong in the mix along with other anxiety disorders as it does now. There are various reasons for their belief, including the fact that a few types of OCD seem to actually involve behaviors that people desire. For example, people who hoard huge quantities of useless junk often want to continue their behavior.

At any rate, OCD is a collage of fascinating types of problems. But it is highly treatable. If you haven't sought treatment for your OCD, you really should--just be sure it is from someone experienced in treating OCD as well as using what's known as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).
