I find out that the thoughts are real to me, but they are not based on reality. At least my reality. I have never heard of some of the things that are in my thoughts. As for infidelity, I do research which is a compulsion on infidelity. Most women don't cheat with a whole lot of men while some do. The truth is, the thoughts are so bothersome and exaggerated. I tend to stay away from a lot of fiction as they could provide a trigger. It can be embarassing and lonely. It matters to me because I feel like I'm going crazy. That is why I often ask if the thoughts are real. Does fiction like tv shows, comic books exaggerate the realism of obsessive thoughts? I tend to ask this so that i can avoid them as not to want to have something to produce a spike, therefore a lot of disorder. I even believe there is a spiritual or some other meaning. I noticed I have gone more spiritual as a result.
