I have been feeling like I am dreaming but I'm not, I'm awake, but then it's like something/someone is telling me to do something. I am just spacing off also and can't seem to focus on anything. Any know what is going on with me?

Sometimes I experience something similar to what you are explaining, my T says I am disassociating I dont know if that is what you are doing or not. I just wanted to let you know that I have experienced something similar. Sending you some hugs

I have that. It's called dissociation or derealization. It happens when you have alot of anxiety or stress. It's your minds way of giving you a rest. It's an unsettleing thing but nothing bad. Talk to your therapist about it

It's sounds like you're disassociating to me too. Are you particularly stressed about anything just now, have extra worries, or maybe something in particular has happened recently?

I'm sorry you're going through this, hun...some hugs for you...
Thanks for this!

Thanks Gimmeice and thunderbear. Even the talking to people thing. My husband says I am having conversations with me while I'm sleeping and sometimes I think I am awake and talking to someone. They will ask me to do something and then when I do it, I realize I can't because the object/person/thing is not really there??

Well being diagnosed correctly finally that has really be bothering. It carries such a big stigma. They thought I had major depressive disorder but I found the right pdoc and he diagnosied me with BPD. My T also agrees with him. Plus, PTSD, aniext, SI...all that other stuff. The BPD just has me so worked up and I've been haveing a lot of feelings, memories of inapportiate people/things. It's just to much...

That's a lot to be dealing with, but I'm glad you've finally got the right diagnosis coz that means you can now get the right help.

Please know you can pm me anytime if you need an ear, ok?
Thanks for this!

Is this always happening when you are asleep or near sleep? I would definitely talk to your t about this. I have had some similar situations but I was either asleep or almost asleep at the time. Stress can really do some interesting things to you.
