hubby took group to store , they were stopped at a red light got bumped in rear, young kid got out they checked both cars, kid said he was sorry, his cell phone rang and he bent over to pick it up off floor, there was no damage to either car, they didn't exchange info cuz no damage, and hubby didn't want to get kid in trouble, *I* think they should have exchanged info the kid could have hurt someone just venting

I agree. Info should have been exchanged. Kid very well could have hurt people. I am disliking people who talk on cells when driving more and more.
Hope all is well. take care. place

Maybe he'd of learned his lesson from it now. Everyone starts out young and naive, some mistakes are unfortunately more deadly.
Don't let it bother you too much, kay?

In my experience it always best to exchange information. This is just to avoid anything popping up down the line. I understand your frustration. I am sure now he knows what to do in the future should the situation ever arise again. Calm down, take some deep breathes. What's done is done. Don't let yourself get upset over something that has already happened. I know, easier said then done. It would have upset me too.

i think that info should have been exchanged...also, if he lives at home, parents should know about it....i'm for scaring the pants off of people that hit someone from the rear.....OVER A CELLPHONE.......FOR GOD'S SAKE.

I agree, but then, lots of men don't want to make an issue out of these things ... imo. In South FL, when you are in an accident, the police pull your cellphone record, and if you were on the cell phone... you get ticketed. (Unless it was to 911)
