I have just relocated to Northern California and am looking for a doctor for help with ADHD and comorbid depression. Where does one look for help and how do you know who to trust? I need meds refilled. Any ideas???? Thanks.. Joe

call the medical board for the county you live in.....or call a major hospital and ask for a LIST of psychiatrists.......call a mental health center and ask for a LIST of docs that practice there....hope this gives you a start. you've found a good place, here, for support. pat

Fay is right, give this a try. Before I moved my former T and pdoc helped me geographically find a network, we contacted a hospital closest to my new location, they spoke to the psycgiatric dept. and relayed to me who to book my first appt. it all worked out, I've been in my new location for almost 5yrs now.
It was scarey when I found out we had to move, I had just been starting treatment, etc. at my old location so starting over was a hassle but I stuck with it. But I'd suggest to contact your local hospital or county hospital, and ask for it's behavioural health dept. someone should be able to direct you from there, yellow pages, last resort. Lots of luck with this, let us know how you make out. Take care, DE
