Has anyone never smoked a fag before?
I have once and twice before, nothing to be proud off!
Reasons was to impress my mates and to see what taste was like...

miss_a, yes I have tried smoking before. I usually end up doing it for a few days or so if I am feeling particularly stressed, and that is all.

I guess you don't know that in the US, the word "fag" is defined differently. According to The American Heritage Dictionary it is "Used as a disparaging term for a homosexual man".

If you ever wonder about how slang terms and words are used differently, there is a fun website to check:

http://www.peak.org/~jeremy/dictionary/dictionary/

Take care, and don't smoke!!

not directed only to you jmo but to any and all smokers who don't want to hear it....

it isn't just a nasty habit it is a deadly one. Don't believe me? Go visit my father's grave then.

I wish everyone luck with this dreadful habit. It is your choice. Do you really think my father chose to die instead of see us grow? Make the choice to quit sooner please!!!!

I usually keep this diatribe to myself as smokers are notoriously unwilling to hear this message. I'll probably trot this out again in June around father's day. Guess that is the legacy cigarettes left me.

I smoked for years, over 20 and finally was able to quit.

If you do not smoke for heavens sake do NOT start.

It is one of the biggest mistakes I have ever made, and I've made some big ones.

(No offense to any smokers btw)

(lmao Tomi )

ZH,

I understand what your saying. I hear it all the time. I have tried to quit. Several times. It's the hardest thing in the world. I'm sure i will give another try.

I used to smoke and just quit about 3 weeks ago. I told my mom it was part of her mothers day present. Also it was smoke or have my surgery and by God I'm having my surgery.

Jannie, congrats on giving up smoking. I know how much you're looking forward to your surgery. I'm so very excited for you. I wish you the very, very best. Isn't it this week coming? Sending good vibes your way!!!

Sweetie, it is your thing to deal with and you'll know when it is right for you to make that attempt next.

I apologize if I came off too strongly with my diatribe. I KNOW firsthand how hard quitting is having watched loved ones try again and again.

My brother has been a smoker for almost twenty years now. Don't even ask how I feel about that FAGS

Anytime you choose to try again I am fully in your corner and will be each time it takes until it sticks!!! FAGS

To hear from the doctors that smoking was a major factor in my father's death makes it crystal clear to me what smoking holds in store for most. FAGS

I hope that folks do what is best for their health, their hearts and their pocketbooks.

I am a dyke who smokes FAGS! LOL
Anyway, never start. That is all I can say.
It is smelly, turns your nails brown, your lungs black and is hard to quit. Also an expense you never need to incurr.

FAGS If you do or are thinking of beginning... then research the research about how they are MADE to be addictive. No love lost with the tobacco companies. Nicotine is a drug. If you like to use cocaine, then you might enjoy a "fag" also. FAGS
