Ma flew out today. Thank you for asking after me with her visit. It was better than previous ones. I'm doing the best I am able to.

It was a matter of focusing on what was at hand. I tried to keep my focus on what was within my power during this time we had together.

Mother's Day with a single mother who raised challenging children can be a self imposed guilt trip. Working on understanding and forgiveness.

I was able to pop in here and there late at night a couple times in the two weeks but then that data loss/server crash it looks like I was just gone gone gone. I swear I was around a bit!!

I'm glad to hear that your visit went well. Being with my mother is difficult because we have never had an adult to adult relationship. Her approval is always sought. The only good news to share is that the guy at work who is trying to make trouble for me has been mostly unsuccesful, and my coworkers have rallied to my defense which is gratifying. Everything else pretty much sucks as usual. Good to hear your voice again, zen . -Topher
