I have a job interview at 10:30am today. It's with a company that makes video games (the kind you see in bars and arcades). Talk about a kid in a candy shop...maybe Jo and I can have our own pinball machine!!!! I'm usually pretty good at i-views, so I'm hoping for the best with this.
Then after the i-view, I have to go to a recruiter's office and meet with them about another job. I'll have to take all kinds of tests from what I understand. They've been trying to fill this position they have for quite some time. They say I'll be there for 2-3 hours...sigh. I really hate these kinds of things, but I have to have a job, soon. I'm a workaholic at heart, and not having a job has been driving me crazy...er. If I pass their testing, then I'll have another interview tomorrow. When it rains, it pours. So if y'all could keep some good thoughts for me today, I'd really appreciate it. If I get one of the jobs, I'll take us all out to dinner!!! I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks everyone, Greg |

I know this is after the fact, but hope everything went well...I know how it is being a workaholic that worked 70-80 hrs a week, then nothing...not good... Hope the i vies & tests went well...let us know when you recover from this big day. Debbie

Well, it’s looking real good!!! I had a call from the recruiter today telling me that the employer was very impressed! He said that my knowledge of Doc Control was well above anyone he had I-viewed so far. I answered all the questions with confidence. It had been a VERY long time since I had one that I felt so good about. I was however 20 minutes late getting there. I righted when I should have lefted and ended up 8 miles in the wrong direction. When I told him I had just come in from California, he said, “Well, that explains it then”. We both laughed.
I didn’t make the testing with the other recruiter though. It was just too much for one day for me. I just don’t have the energy I used to. Maybe has something to do with turning 50 this year? J I’m going to setup the testing for that for tomorrow….unless I get offered the other job first. And I really think I will. The thought of being back to work makes me feel so good. I’ve been doing a lot of work around the house, and I’ve enjoyed doing that, But it’s time to start bringing home that paycheck again. I wanted to thank everyone for all the support. It really does help when you know that you have your friends pulling for you. Thanks for being there for me!
