((((((((((((((((((((((((sundance))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) I know what it is like to wait for news. It stinks and my mind can go in so many directions. I hope that what you are waiting to hear about is nothing but good news.

She should be on her way to see the ultra sound, or get the results.
It's weird, they wouldn't let her see her baby on the ultra sound, and the tech doing the ultra sound would not say a word.

I don't know what that could mean, so she will get the results at 3...

I'm still worried I want to make sure my little niece or nephew is ok and safe. The thing that bothers me about this is that last night she had some brown discharge, and the doc said that it wasn't uncommon. All her blood tests came back fine. When she went there for my neice she was 7 weeks when she saw the ultra sound, so why is this different and she is further along?

Sundance, techs aren't supposed to say anything, even though the experienced ones can probably interpret a scan as well as the doctors. Legalities and ethics prevent them from commenting on what they see. Don't worry about that part. ((((((((hugs)))))))))

I'm thinking maybe they didn't want her seeing the screen since there will be changes in how it looks (just because of the babying growing and such). She might have needlessly worried more than she probably already is.

What I don't understand is that with my 5 year old niece she got to see the ultra sound pic at 7 weeks, so why wouldn't they show her this one at 9 weeks?

(((((((((((((((((((sundance)))))))))))))))))))) i wish i could PROMISE you that nothing's wrong. i can hopefully, help you too feel better by telling you that my niece, my friend's daughter and i all had bleeding early in pregnancy and everything was absolutely fine.

in fact, the e.r. dr sent me home with pain killers and said if the pain gets too bad to come back for a shot. he told me that i was miscarrying and that i should see my dr in the a.m. i grieved all nite long as everything settled down. i went into see dr and got my ultra sound and she was perfect. they didn't let me see ultra sound either.

i sure hope everything is fine, dear. this waiting is so hard.

Thanks

She as far as I know did not have any pain what so ever. So I don't think she will mis-carry, I hope.

It's been an hour and half since her appt, I wonder if she is still there.

I guess they could have changed the policies... I guess she thought that she'd see the baby, bring home a pic and that things were fine. As I said in my other post her blood work went well, I just hope the baby is ok. I'm still waiting, trying to keep busy.

sundance, hopefully no news is good news at this point.

oh, went i went to e.r. i was in pain and everything. it was very, very strange. anyhow, i gave birth to a beautiful, perfect baby girl and was, of course, very thankful.

i hope the same for you and your family, dear.

Sundance,

Waiting to hear information is the hardest thing to do & even worse when we are not there with the person, especially family. I am sure God will help provide you with the strength to get through this. It is true that only Dr's can give you the results of any tests, so the techs can't say anything....as for not allowing her to see the pic...who knows what goes on it the minds of the professionals.

There is a time where bad luck runs out & good comes back....hoping that this is that time,
Debbie

Ok this is the update.
She is not 9 weeks like she though, she is about 6 or 7 weeks.
She is now due instead of the 17th of December to a new years baby perhaps, now it's December 31st.

Which would be kind of funny because my niece is 5 May 31st.

Anyways they couldn't detect a heartbeat, but they think it's because the baby is smaller then they expected. So next week she is going in again. She didn't see the ultra sound either which is ok.

So I don't know, she is still pregnant, and only 6 or 7 weeks, so it's still early...
