Have you ever felt like you're living the wrong life?

Quite often I find myself sat here thinking I shouldnt be a dad at 23. I shouldn't be hunting for retail jobs when I know I can do more. Worse still is when I remember the one point in my life it all went this way instead of the way I wanted.

Damn my sense of loyalty and chivalry, otherwise I know I'd have just packed up for japan by now and lived a hermit life.

Aye don't get me wrong, I love my partner and daughter. I wouldn't have missed it for the world, but quite a few times I wish I did. Originally I wanted to take a trip to native japan (avoiding the big cities) and just spend a year writing a book or something now though thats pretty much out of the window.

I guess I just don't like the idea of 9-5 typical family guy.

You still have choices. You can choose to live in the past and rue your existence, or you can live in the present and make the best of each day.
