I just had a nice surprise just now.

One of the cops who was present at my suicide attempt last year just stopped by with his new partner!

It is approaching my 1-year anniversary of that attempt, and he was just checking in with me. Wasn't that sweet?

I heard someone knocking for awhile at my door when I was in the washroom, and I didn't answer the door because I wasn't dressed yet. But the mysterious knocker returned a short time later....and it was "my" cops. Lol. What an uplifting way to start my day.

If I need anything from them, he said to be sure to call.

I feel good today!!

Hugs,
Sandy

That was way beyond the call of duty! How very nice of him. You must have touched him in some way. Or else you are so gorgeous he couldn't get you out of his mind!

Sandy,
That's caring for you. How sweet.

And it's good to hear from you and to hear you sound positive.

It's great to see everyone's reaction to this! My Cops I think that we too often take our brave boys in blue for granted.

After I was first hospitalized, the cops who went with me to the hospital actually came back to visit me at home.....at 1 am!! Yikes!! But we sat around chatting for a good 45 minutes. (I guess they were on their break! Lol).

As for my beauty.....not this side of Heaven!! My Cops My Cops Plus, he's got himself a cute little gal for a partner now. She had never met me, but was so nice to me.

Anywho.....I hope you all have a wonderful day today!!

Hugs,
Sandy

No, I'm not a cop. I wouldn't last a day doing that work. I can only be on my toes for 5 minutes a day, not 24/7! Lol.

My dad was a cop, and that is the environment I grew up in.....cops, cops, and more cops.

We had a family friend (another officer) who, due to stress on the job, went home and shot himself, his two children, and his wife. He came to our house that day and waited 2 hours for my dad to get home. Dad was late...and this officer never got to see him before he fell apart.

Yes, the site is very touching. If you are in Canada, they have just begun an advertising campaign for PTSD among emergency personnel. I haven't seen the tv ad yet, just snatches of it.

The poem on the site opens your eyes a bit, doesn't it?

Hugs,
Sandy
