I just want everyone to be aware about how you type my username when sending me a pm. I get the feeling that I've lost a lot of communication from members that have gone to another "sabby"

My username is "_sabby_" with an underscore before and after my name. I think lots of people have put "sabby" into the pm and off it goes to another member who hasn't been active in 3 years LOL. I don't think he's gonna help anyone at this point LOL.

I'm sorry to make this so difficult for everyone.

Thank you very much Sabby. I think this has happened to me about 2 weeks ago. I wondered why you didn't answer - I figured you must have been swamped

Wondering why inactive accounts aren't closed after a certain period of time, then re-opened if the user requests.
Thanks for this!

See??? I was afraid members would think I was ignoring them

I will NEVER EVER EVER ignore any member that pm's me. That is, for one thing against my principle and for another, my job is to be available to the membership and I will always either respond or take care of an issue that is brought to my attention as soon as I possibly can.

I believe that the reason old members are not deleted is because DocJohn for one may keep records of such things and for two, there have been many times when old members do come back and ask for help with their password so they can sign back in again. They may not always be active on the forums, but active in other parts of PC. He wants them to always feel like they are important enough to continue keeping their account available to them.

Thanks for this!

I always wondered why inactive members weren't deleted as well...but those are both good points sabby, I can see why they don't get deleted.
