I want my "old" Psych Central back. You know, the one where we didn't worry about what we were going to post, because someone, somewhere, was going to take issue with it.

The supportive Psych Central. The one where we exposed our warts and laughed at ourselves and held hands and danced around the May-pole together. Well, that's a stretch, but something like that..cyberwise....

Where reading the responses to our posts didn't make our stomachs ache. And no one questioned our sanity and caused us to doubt ourselves and our recovery. We all know that self-doubt runs willy-nilly through our lives and we don't need any that someone else generously hands to us.

And we could also get back to biting our tongues, when we knew for dead certain that we were going to hurt a fellow poster.

I know that life is fraught with pot holes and land mines. PC used to be where I could come and count on someone helping me dig out of my hole and point out the land mines that I was about to dive off in to.

Does anyone else want the old PC back? xoxox pat

ok, I'll do my part. I hope this thread doesn't turn into something negative, though...

FOCUS ON POSITIVE -- I'll do my best to do so as well!

Hugs to all,
LMo

what was that song? "a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down"? that's a fairly "sugary" way to look at it, but i'm definitely going for the positive.......pat

peace and serenity at Psych Central.........

But again, I think things are getting back to being a supportive forum. Lots of new folks and personalities, etc.. Lots of adjustments for everyone.. But things are looken pretty good here lately. Unless I've missed something.

I think we've been doing pretty well the last few days! I wasn't gonna bring it up and jinx it, but since you did, I'm patting our collective back. peace and serenity at Psych Central.........

personally, pat, i think PC is back on track and doing well. i really do.

there's never going to be a time when there's not going to be some type of issue "floating". i can't ever see that happening in a room full of ppl with multiple discussions going on at one time.

i would like to applaud how we've all worked so very hard at getting PC back to what it should be...a place for general support, understanding and knowledge.

good thread!

I too miss the PC of old (which was only a few months ago...)

I am starting to come back out of hiding, and posting more, but with much hesitation.

Thanks for starting this thread, Pat. It was much needed.

How....you ask? hmmmmm....that's a very hard one to quanitify. I'm a newbie, but during the short time I've been here, I've had days where I thought even my dog was going to kick me because I was so down....then I come here and tears come to my eyes and I get all choked up because of the love and support at PC. I don't think I can qualitify it for you, but it just keeps getting better and better. peace and serenity at Psych Central.........

Much love,
