So, I'm doing some illustrations of products, and I need some new art supplies because crayola colored pencils and markers aren't exactly professional and other then that I only have oil paint and watercolor... which wouldn't be too bad except I'm really bad at painting

So I'm looking for some colored pencils that are cheap but could get the job done... but I really don't have a lot of knowledge about art supplies (other then the USA makes good quality supplies according to my art teacher) so I was wondering if anyone here with a lot more knowledge then me have any suggestions.

I decided to put this here in "other" so it would get more attention that way

While we're waiting for the knowledgeable people...

1. I think these are pretty much the same Faber pencils I used to use as a kid: Faber-Castell Polychromos Colored Pencil Sets. They're about $1.50 a pencil (plus shipping, if you order online). I'm seldom in brick-and-mortar art supply stores any more but they used to be really widely available. You could use them dry, or if you went over a colored area with a wet brush it would basically turn into watercolor.

2. When I needed intensely-colored pens (not pencils) some years ago, I discovered the Tombow line. The "dual brush pen" has a fine tip at one end and a broader one at the other. It's supposed to come in 96 colors and costs about double what the Faber-Castell pencils do.

Good luck, Kaika, and let us know what you find that works better for you than these.
Thanks for this!

Faber-Castell is an excellent product.

I use Colleen Pencil Crayons for all my colouring in. Don't know if these are available elsewhere though.
