And that time is now.

Last week I revealed to a few here that I had come to the decision that I was going to quit smoking. There are several reason for this decision. I am getting older now, and I am thinking more about my family and my health. I am very, very aware that smoking is a nasty, stinky habit. This is one thing I ever regret starting. Also, today, while I was at the pool, I was doing lapse and when I got the the end of my first lap I was winded. I am to young to be winded. It scares me. It scares my husband so this is why I must do this.

I will need your support. Oh how I will need your support. I am already feeling a little anxious about it but I know that this is something that I have to do. I HAVE to do this.My children already tell me that I stink. It had to come to an end sometime...

Wish me luck. I know I am going to need it. It had to come to an end sometime...

Maybe we can try to do it together? I quit once for almost 5 yrs. 3d stresses blew me away, leading me to this horrible, unhealthy habit It had to come to an end sometime...
I need support with this, some "atta girls" as I get through it. . . yet to be found in my 3d world, a dark world It had to come to an end sometime... I too, found out how bad my lungs were when I tried to do laps, that many years ago were a breeze, reality hit and drug me down It had to come to an end sometime...
Much luck to you It had to come to an end sometime...

(((((((((((((((((((((((((((DE))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

I have tried to quit so many times. It is so, so , so hard. If you decide to jump aboard with me, we can do this. I may be cranky at times. But I really feel I can do this. So can you DE. It had to come to an end sometime...

I don't know about Virginia, but Ohio has a hotline you can call. If you tell them you want to quit smoking (the ad says) they will help you.

I don't know what that help is, but hey, its worth seeing if VA has one OR if you can trick the Ohio one into helping you. (And no I don't feel guilty suggesting you trick them...afterall it is your life you are talking about). Good luck Jen, you can do it!

Good Luck Jmo. I know you can do it. I'm planning to work on some life changes myself this coming week so possibly we all can work on them together.

((((((((((((((((((((((((Jen)))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Can you call your Dr and ask for some step down patches? I understand it's a lot easier that way.

Hugs,

Jan

LOTS OF LUCK!!!!!!!!!!! There you go!
Focus on all the positive aspects of quitting, there are so many. And, just like with hope and not giving up, if you have to have to borrow your willpower from someone and find inspiration, do it. Your kids will really benefit from your quitting, they will be quitting second-hand smoking!

I have never smoked, it was a big trigger for me. That said, I found out recently that a very close friend is a closet smoker. I wish you both luck on you adventure. I have heard others tell me that they feel free from slavery when they quit. Good luck to you both and know that I see you as whole and health.y
