so worried about my dearest friend 'silentandscared'... she's on a ventilator in intensive care after a major asthma attack early yesterday morning. I will be in contact with her son again later this afternoon.

Oh my gosh this is sad news. Please keep me informed of how she's getting on, such a lovely person. I've not spoken to her in a while and was wondering how she was.
Thanks for this!

ShadowWriter, I hope silentandscared gets all the help she needs. It's good to have you supporting her and her son (and yourself.) I'll send some positive thoughts your way. Take care.

Just chatted with M's mother...

She's a little better today... seems to be responding to the treatment. They have reduced the sedation a little so she is half asleep and half awake. Hopefully they are going to try remove the ventilator tomorrow... depends on how she progresses.

(((((((((((((( ShadowWriter and SAS )))))))))))))))))))))))

I'm so sorry to hear of SAS and the asthma attack. Very scary indeed. I'm so glad she got to the hospital and what the docs are doing is working.

Thanks for updating us SW, I know this is difficult for you as you are both very close. I send you both my love and prayers for a quick and full recovery.

sas is now out of intensive care and at the chest ward. So it's looking more positive now. As soon as I get to talk to her I'll let her know how you all are thinking of her.

Just talked to sas on the phone. She had a hard time breathing... so we just talked for a couple of minutes then she had to go back to bed for the oxygen mask. They told her today she's got severe pneumonia in one of her lungs. She's on strong antibiotics and several other meds.

She's so unselfish... called to ask how it went for me at the trial today. She got out of bed for the first time.. being so sick... to call me. What an amazing friend!

I told her about all you guys thinking of her and she said to thank you so much for caring about her.
