Hi folks,

Our daughter works in London; we are waiting to hear from her just now -- Yes, she's phoned and she's OK. She is going to use her bike for now, and stay out of the centre.

That's a relief.

Cheers, M

PS - Anyone else have relatives/friends in London?

I used to live in the UK when I was a kid for a couple of years and I still have lots of friends and family there. My good friend Joe missed his train this morning. I am still waiting to hear from other friends.

((((((((((((( everyone on London ))))))))))))

At the moment, everyone in London is kind of standed since the Underground isn;t running at all at the moment, and none of the buses around the centre are running. I really hope there are no more attacks.

I think we all need hugs. things like this are frightening no matter where you live. Loss of human life is a tragic on it's own, but when someone does it on purpose, it's even worse.

Now we must work diligently to not feel afraid. We can't let the evil people win.

I get breaking news updates from CNN (probably not the most positive thing, but oh well, I like to stay informed), and it said that the death toll is now 40.

I remember waking up that morning feeling like the world wasn't such a bad place, until it struck me to turn on the tv and saw the news.

People who were involed in this attack were very brave and also let in despair. Who ever did this they won't get away with it. I never think that there would be an attack in London, did you? Where is the love and peace today...

i am ashamed to call myself a yorkshire man after police confirmed that the london bombers were all from yorkshire, born and bred, not outsiders, they by there actions have shamed the communities that they were raised in and i expect a lot of reprisals in the asian community by the local british national party which is rife around here due to the high concentration of muslims, there families should be run out of the country, not pityed.

I was shocked too to find out they were all British nationals who had grown up in Britain to attack their own country. There have already been attacks on mosques around the country and there might also be attacks in my area too, which like mellors' area, has a lot of Muslims, and a lot of suport for the british national party. In the past though, relations between whites and black ppl has been generally good in this area, except for race riots a few years back. Hopefully ppl won't become *too* suspicious and believe that *all* muslims are potential suicide bombers, because that's just not true. It doesn't improve relations between communities though.

A very close friend of mine has a brother in London. He usually take that train, but for some reason, he didn't that day. Also, my friend grew up in NY, and still has family there. He feels so lucky that his all his family members are ok - after 9/11 and london.

I feel bad for everyone affected. London Explosions

well mellors i know how you feel. Timothy McVay was from the U.S and I think that there are sink individuals all over the place. My dad was listening to one of those radio talk shows and they were saying that this was Londons "9/11". I don't think that. I do think that this was a tragic event and no one should turn thier backs on this. I feel sorrr and morn for the loss. Everyone is in my prayers.
