My sister had always been a little differant. NOt in a bad way or anything. When she was a kid she would be sweet and kind then turn into a mean little s**t. Well she told me yesterday her GP suspects D.I.D. She has a "SHE" thats what my sis calls this other personality in her. She was telling me that she can hear and see whats going on when SHE takes over but she can't stop it. SHE is a mean violent person. Her GP can't really treat my sister's mental illness like a psych can but my sister can't afford one. And I think she is a little scared to go. My sister and her boyfriend will get in an argument or he'll say something and SHE will come out. SHE called me the other night. It did'nt even sound like my sister. I'm really worried about her. My "family" don't accept MI or anything like DID. They are the type of people who think God wouldnt make a mistake. I can't tell them that mst times it is'nt he/she causing the damage but what happened in our childhood caused what's wrong with sister and I.

Hi thunderbear I'm sorry for the DID that your sister has developed. I hope she can find the help she deserves but I'm glad she has such a supportive, understanding person in you. It's very nice of you to not take things personally or get offended. You are a very compassionate person. Take care of yourself. shaggy

It's so lovely that you and your sister are close enough to be able to be open about these things - I'm sure that means a lot to her, that she is able to talk to you about it.
I hope she can eventually get the help she needs. x |

Sorry your sister has to deal with an illness. If she should decide to try to get help, here is a source that may help: http://mentalhealth.samhsa.gov/publi...kentucky01.asp
