I had a rather large supply of meds that I no longer take for one reason or another until today. I was tired of looking at them, tired of them calling my name when I was really depressed and SU, tired of them taking up space on my shelf. I don't know for sure what happened to them, but I gave them to my therapist to dispose of. Of course, I had to assure her that I was not SU then, I just didn't want the temptation there. It really kind of sucked getting rid of all of them, about $100+ worth, but I am glad to have them out of my possession. I now have the meds that I am currently prescribed, and a few tylenol 3 w/codine and phenegran for bad ankle days. I am honestly proud of myself for getting rid of them, especially since that has always been the way I wanted to attempt.

Great job! I can understand how that must have been difficult.

You did the right thing, even though it was hard. You can be proud of yourself. Well done!

well done - I still have a WHOLE lot of citalopram, quite a few sleeping tabs, and quite a bit of clonazepam.. The citalopram I ought to throw. No idea why I haven't done it. Not sure if it would be a OD risk anyway..
