...when you need to talk to someone but don't know what you need to talk about, family and friends are not available, and you want to hear a live person?

I have been in this situation for a few days now. Struggling in silence as I try to figure out who to call. I am not in a crisis, at least I don't feel like I am. I just want to talk to someone who isn't going to judge me or try to get me commited. I just want to talk and be heard.

You appear to be religious...do you belong to a church where there is someone you can talk to?

I guess in one respect I'm lucky..I have voices in my head and if I need to talk I tell them to shut up and listen, they do sometimes but because I have them to talk to I find that we can work things out . This may sound crazy but it works.

Is there a Beyond Blue helpline where you are? or Lifeline? Salvos Care Line?

Unlike The Byzantine who is the supreme wizard of locating helpful numbres and websites, I can only echo his suggestion.

Call a support line. I volunteer at one, run by my local psych hospital and we get all kinds of people calling in who just need to talk an issue through. That's what these kind of lines are there for.

Good luck.
