I'm sorry everyone, this is all pathetic and minor and you shouldn't even read it, but I need to scream here or I'll just keep screaming in my head. There are many people on this board with worse problems than I'm having now and my heart and hugs go out to you, so as I say please don't even read but I just need to learn to vent this stuff now or else I'll go back to what I always do of staring at the ******* wall for three days and worse.

My colleague is away on a week's holiday. Today was his first day away. For this week I'm managing an ongoing project he normally runs. I have no experience in this project.

My boss decides to announce at 9am this morning on twitter to all our followers (i.e our most dedicated clients) a big change to this project 'because we are so busy' (those words actually in the tweet). Without talking to me about it. I am busy, but not so busy I couldn't handle it. And changing the project will actually be more work. But most importantly why not even mention it to me first? It's like he just announced to the entire world that I can't handle it! (although obviously he didn't, and most of our clients wouldn't know my colleague was away this week).

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Juggling too much nonsense to have new balls thrown at me today

And then I snapped at my gf when she asked me if I had got round to booking a decorator yet - a really snarky 'I have actual work to do too you know' - when it sounded like she was having a really bad day. Because I'm a spiteful chump.

Oh, Bugsy! What a thoughtless radgie gadgie gaffer not to warn you first! But, since your workmate is on holiday, maybe he was trying to take pressure off you by giving you more time and space since it's not your project? No one knows you're not "that" busy except he and you. Even other people in your company are going to think, not that you can't do it, but that you've got lots of work and then they'll notice the workmate on holiday and wonder how you can do it all, think you're super.
