I know this belongs maybe in the abuse forum, but I don't know if it will get seen.
Can a restraining order be put in place for threatening and abusive e-mails?

Not sure , but with a regular restraining order it can be stated that the person cannot contact you in ANY way, so it would seem that would include E-mails. Print them out and take them with you if you decide to get an order.............NO ONE should be threatened ! (And make sure copies get to your attorney)

Thanks Sue. Copies already went to my attorney and I asked what can be done to stop it. It's getting ridiculous. Now I'm being accused of withholding important medical information from him that he needs for my daughter's medical problem to improve. He's coming off paranoid and unstable, the things he likes to accuse me of.
I'm going to call the P.D. and ask if they can have a cruiser just happen to be in my area around 5:00 tonight when it's time for the kids to get picked up by him.

I don't know about emails, but it seems to me that is definate contact, and they are certainly more "3-D" than harrassing phone calls since you can print them off and show them to the police. Get the restraining order and by all means ask the police to do a drive through. Please be careful! Hugs, Jan
