My momory has always been horrid, but the last few weeks it seems like it's gotten even worse. I was in the routine of scooping the catbox every morning when I get up, every afternoon when I get home from school, and every night before I go to bed. Now i have trouble remembering to do it at all, and end up doing it at night. But every morning I see it and think to myself "Alright, go clean your piercings THEN do the catbox. Doitdoitdoit!" And 5 minutes later I've forgotten.

Every day I rediscover several times a day "What day IS it? Isn't it... Is it Monday? Oh, it is! Oh wait, haven't I already gone through this today.....?"

And it isn't even just that. It seems like anything I need to remember to do, or anything interesting I just heard, or a song I wanted to look up... ANYTHING. It's forgotten almost immediately, and it's driving me nuts!

Is anyone else having this problem?

Yeah, it is usually the meds. But being so stressed out can do it, too. Anxiety, stress, depression. They all cause temp memory loss. I have this problem worse if I just have started new meds.

It is by all means possible that medicants are causing your memory problems, however to be sure (and if you are taking medicants), it would be most important to seek the help and opinion of your physician

Please do not leave this to guessing or maybes' because it is a most important issue and is something which you need dealing with as soon as possible

Greetings,

An ill mind needs all the love it can get. Of course, if the owner of the ill mind is not loving it, how could it possibly know what true love is? After awhile of such negligance, the ill mind tends not to function well. Yes, it will always have it's challenges, though, since it is, indeed, ill, it may not be able to recover as well as a mind that is not ill. In other words, I agree with " Beggin for Help " when they mention that your mind could be reacting to stress. I hope you are able to truly find an efficient solution for it. Remember....

Stay Positive!!!!

Have a good one.

Oh yes, my memory is shot as well.

I used to be the person my kids, husband and co-workers would come and ask where things were because my memory was superb. Now I can't remember where I left my keys or took off my shoes.

I don't think it is the medication causing this as much as the depression because my memory started going way before I started taking meds.

It sucks but at least I remember where my bed is!
Thanks for this!

Memory loss, yep! Got that one for sure. I usually write important things right there on my hand so that It doesnt get lost like post it notes. Now if I lose my arm then I'll be on here asking you for advice. Lucky for me I have yet to misplace a body part.
Thanks for this!
