I don't have one. I know about them because other members of my family no longer use email for their newsy letters and only post to a blog.

Here is another good tip. If you want a VERY cheap web host where you can put your blog, or anything, and get your own real url, check out directnic.com. It is about $30 a year for name registration and site hosting. The absolute cheapest I have ever seen and they have been very reliable for me for years. It is bandwidth limited, but I have a non-profit organization's web site on it that gets used a lot and has never gone over the limit. Even if you go over the limit, all they do is start putting up pop ups until you pay a few more bucks.

OK, so I go to your website, and first thing that pops up is an advertisement for Southern Comfort...

There's got to be some hidden meaning there I made my own blog!

Maybe I should take Kvinn's advice and get an ad free web site. $30 a year is way cheap. No popup ads Kvinn?

I'm gonna look into that site Kvinn. I might be able to recommend it to other non-profit organizations that need to save on money too.

directnic.com has no popups and they work great.

when you first create your account, it does take a few hours for some magic to occur before you can see you site. I don't know why this happens, it does not appear to be related to DNS propagation.

After that it works perfectly.

One thing it does not do that I wish it would is work with FrontPage extensions. You also have to ftp everything. I could not get the self publishing features of Frontpage to work with it. No big deal, though.
