I don't understand how you can make up a number that isn't in the originator's database? Sounds like the Feds don't need more checkers; just better software.

why aren't i more shocked, to read that pharmacies are ripping off everyone in sight ? i guess it's just more of the corporate/political lack of ethics that is plunging this country and many others into the depths of economic slavery.... let us at least decide to be the kind of people who do not do these things , in our own lives,, and perhaps we can inspire a new generation,, tho we must almost certainly reap the rewards (horrors) of the current trends...

Ok. I am going to comment from another angle.

These "medications" for which medicaid and the likes were paying for, are essential to many people. Pedialyte for example prevents dehydration and for the very young, it is easy to become dydrated very quickly which can lead to serious heath issues and death. Many vitamins are also essential to help people maintain decent health.

many over the counter medications (pedialyte and vitamins for example) are often beyond the reach of low income people. If finding a way for medicaid to pay for these things so that people in need could get them is illegal then that sucks.

Did the pharmecutical comapnies do this for their own pocketbook or the good of the people? More than likely for themselves. However, maybe this will open the eyes of those in power and make it a little easier for those who need these things to find a way for them to get them.

The pharmaceutical companies NEVER do ANYTHING for the good of the public. It is ALWAYS to line their own pocketbooks and pad their bottom lines.

Consider....it takes about 0.3 cents to make one tab of Tylenol, yet Hospitals charge around $15.00 a pill, if not more. Not because they want to, but because big pharma sets the market value.

There are a lot of things big pharma and big brother do together that the public does not know about. Like the fact that there really isn't a "shortage" in chemo drugs right now, they are just getting ready to come out with a new one and if the say there's a shortage, they can charge more for the new drug if it's the only one available.

How do I know these things? I'm a Nurse, and I see what comes down the pipe-line.
